As mentioned in the introduction, this is just a brief review of color and their meanings. It is a good start to help you select colors for your next project, but not the end of the selection process. When selecting a color scheme for your logo, brand design, graphic design or web development project, you should also consider the following:
Global, local, cultural influences: How are the colors selected perceived in the geographic or demographic area your product will be sold?

Your target market: Who will you be aiming at? For example, kids products purchases are influenced by kids, but paid for by parents.

Brand positioning: Is this going to be a high-end or value product? What other attributes you should consider, and how do they differentiate your brand from your top competitors?

Seasonality: Is this a seasonal product or service? Is it directly tied to a certain holiday or event? Product environment: Finally, if you expect your product to be placed in a shelf filled of competing products, you will want to select a color scheme that sets your product apart from the competition.

Finally, you can select a couple of color schemes and test each with your target audience. It will be a good investment on your brand equity!
